CLT Ambassadors & CLT Peer Researchers – Apply Now.

Two exciting opportunities are available through the Community Land Trust Network. The organisation is especially keen to hear from applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds or under-represented groups. More information is included below:

Participants in both of these opportunities stand to gain:

  • Training and development on practical skills
  • Insight to bring back to their own community led housing groups
  • A role in shaping the CLT movement
  • Living wage pay and reimbursement for certain costs

CLT Ambassador programme: Ambassadors will be trained on public speaking (by the Speakers Trust), on how to speak with the media (by BBC journalist & TV/radio presenter Peg Alexander) and on what they need to know about the community land trust movement. You’ll get paid an honorarium (to cover travel, childcare, your time) for the training and events you attend. You will be expected to contribute to at least one event a year, but opportunities might come up for ambassadors as much as once a month.

CLT Peer Researchers: Peer researchers will work with support from the Young Foundation every step of the way to design and carry out a study (via interviews with CLTs) to identify barriers to greater diversity and inclusion in the CLT movement. You’ll be given training and support on how to conduct and report on research, and can even join the Young Foundation’s National Peer Researcher Network to work for the Young Foundation on other important community-related topics.

Application deadline 13 December 2021.
